Hiya! That fixed it. I just unplugged and replugged the second monitor and it seems to be working just fine. Cool. Now to wrap my head around the 3D part of things.

March 9, 2018 at 4:31 pm in reply to: Elvis Deane’s Website resource page appears to be goneHi,
I didn’t intentionally take it down, I’ve just been having a lot of problems with my website hosting and it seems to have broken. I didn’t realize anyone still used the site, but I’ll look into getting it back up. Especially now with the new news and everything, though I wonder how relevant all the tutorials will now be with the new interface.—

July 30, 2016 at 8:43 pm in reply to: Vegas pro 13 and 14 sale (great price) – Does anyone know ANYTHING about Vegas pro 14?Does anyone know if there’s going to be an upgrade path for those of us who already have 13? I’d hate to find out we have to pay full price or more than $199 when 14 launches in September.

Not that I mind it for legacy projects, but it’s about 6 years too late. I’m just about ready to dump my HVX200 and now they integrate it.
Overall though the update looks very promising.

Turning off the GPU acceleration just solved the problems I’ve been having. Thanks Mike! It brought up another few problems though…
1. I bought Vegas 11 because it promised GPU acceleration over the quite stable Vegas 10.
2. I bought a new video card for all that promised acceleration.
I’ve been a Vegas user since 4, converted a lot of people over to it, but 11 has been a real test of faith. I’ve yet to cut a project in it.

October 27, 2011 at 9:49 pm in reply to: Problem with rendering to MainConcept in Sony Vegas Pro 11I don’t have GPU rendering available because of an old video card, and I still get that “undetermined error”. I’ve just started rendering to Sony AVC codec instead.
Going to pick up a new video card tonight hopefully, and will try it again after.

I bought it the other day just to stay current and Vegas is my bread and butter, so I don’t mind forking over the money. But there really isn’t that much new for most users. I’m finding it slower than 10, though I don’t have a newfangled GPU yet.
The fourth feature down in the New Features list is a Star-Wipe, so you know they went all out 😉

That’s the thing- it happens on everything from my old Athlon laptop to my i7 920 with 12gbs of ram. It doesn’t seem to be a hardware specific issue, but something in the software that’s causing a chug.
I’ll give a try to the 0 memory thing. I often have my desktop set to that, as that’s what Raylight recommends but I’d just changed it to 8192 for a non-Raylight project.

June 25, 2011 at 12:27 am in reply to: ATEM TV Studio + 3 DSLRs = multicam production system?I use the GH1 all the time for long shoots, and it never gets hot. I’ve done 2.5 hour shows, and it’s fine. I assume the GH2 is the same, especially considering you won’t be necessarily writing to a card while using it with the ATEM set up.
I’m very interested in hearing how you get on, Janne, as I’m hoping to try something similar. I have been wondering if using a wireless HDMI solution would work with it to cut out the cable length issue.
